Finally Some Rest on the Beach

Well the trip from KL to Pulau Pangkor was interesting... I arrived at the bus station at 12:00 and was sold a ticket which left at 2:30, which normally wouldnt make much of a difference but the trip itself was 3 hours and I was then getting close to dark when I arrived (I always try to arrive during daylight). It was an interesting ride. Buses in Malaysia have 3 seats across, two together and one alone, and no washroom in the back. Instead the bus stops at a restroom place and you pay to use the washroom (now as a business idea this is one I may try to bring back to Canada....hahahahh). The Island is very nice. I found a room, with TV and A/C for 40 RM, which is just over 10 Canadian. So far I get up for the Hotel breakfast, eat, then head to the beach, hang out till around 2:00 (It is really hot here, although I think I am starting to get used to it a bit) then grab lunch, rest a bit and head back to the beach. So far I have had dinner all three nights at the same place, always with a large Tiger Beer. There are quite a few people here, mostly families on vacation, less backpackers. The beach is awesome. The water is like a bath. Sleeping is sometimes hard, lots of sounds (including a cat moaning which sounding like a small child crying.) I leave tomorrow for Penang a city on an island just south of Thailand. I plan to spend a one night there, maybe two then head to Camron Highlands (in the center of Malaysia) which was an old lookout for troops and is known for its Tea.

Dear Dj SanDiego,
It sounds like you're getting the hang of being an international traveller!!
$10 for a room with a/c and a TV?!? Wow not bad at all... I bet you're wondering if you really want to come back home at the end of all of this.
