A Visit to the Temples
Yesterday we were up at 5:00 am to meet the driver (of the air conditioned car, which came in very handy) and were out by 5:30 am. We travelled for about 10 mins to Angkor, a gigantic temple site close to the town. After having being pulled over by the local police, issued a 3 day pass for the temples at 40 USD and having our picture taken (you should see this one, 5:45 in the moring hahahah) we were able to make it to Angkor Wat (the largest and most famous of all the temples, those of you who know nothing about it should read up on it a bit, it has been named a world heritage site) just before sunrise. What an amazing experience (I think I need to read the dictionary so i can come up with better experssions, thats all I can do for now). I have incredible photos of the sun coming up over the temple. The Complex is gigantic. The detail that is carved into the stone is unreal. We have spent most of the last two days exploring tons of temples, I guess we have gone to about 11, all have a different story, all different in certian ways. It is amazing that through everything this country has endurded these amazing structures still exist. Due to the internet speeds here, I cant upload any pics yet, but I will have some as soon as I can. Tomorrow we grab a bus at 7:00 am to then I think we are heading to the beach again. Tonight we are heading to a traditional dance show and dinner, and if we are feeling up to it to the disco. I wanted to thank everyone who has left comments, it is really nice to hear from everyone, how people are doing and what they think of the blog.

I was just razzing you earlier, the spelling is not important and the content more than makes up for it! How are you feeling? You actually don't sound very homesick? Either way you are doing great. You make accomplishing dreams sound so easy... maybe this should be a lesson for all of us.
